LAKELAND (January 25, 2016) – – On Saturday, January 23, Central Florida Athletics (CFA) brought home four first place finishes at the Central Florida Face-Off Competition, sponsored by Coastal Dance and Cheer, at the Lakeland Civic Center. Senior Flex CoEd Level 3, Junior Fearless Level 2 (also named Grand Champions for Level 2), Mini Fancy Level 2, Senior Fortune Level 1 and Tiny Fab Level 1 all brought home first place finishes. This is the third consecutive first place win for the Tiny and Senior Co-Ed cheer teams. In addition, CFA’s Youth Fame Level 1 Cheer Teams brought home second place and the Judge’s Wow Award for their routine, and the Gym received a paid bid to send one of its cheer teams to the Battle at the Capital Cheer Competition in Washington D.C. This bid is good for the 2016 or 2017 Cheer Competition Season.
CFA competes again in Tampa at the Florida State Fairgrounds on February 6-7.
For athletes interested in tryouts for the upcoming competitive cheer season at CFA or for high school or middle school cheer teams, CFA will be hosting a “Meet and Greet” Week at the gym on February 8 – 12, 2016. This will be a great chance for everyone to meet the Coaches, watch team practices and learn what skills will be needed for the upcoming try out season.
