Central Florida Athletics Takes Home One First Place Win at the American Open Cheer Competition in Orlando Over the Weekend


Central Florida Athletics Mini Fancy Level 2 team won a national title. The team features Angelyn Richards, Holly Porter, Kylee McAfee, Breann Collins, Addison Newman, Zoe Bullock, Madilyn Chappell, Kyndall Albury, Madison Mathews, Maddy Cyr, Kara Bradley, Maddie Morris, Adelyn Fay, Rylee Ayscue and Peyton Pharris. Coaches are Kate Mathews Graydon and Zac Kerst.

LAKELAND (March 10, 2016) – – This past weekend, Central Florida Athletics (CFA) Mini Fancy Level 2 Cheer Team were named National Champions at the 2016 American Open at the Orange County Convention Center. In addition, CFA’s Junior Fearless Level 2 and Tiny Fab Level 1 both finished second. The Senior Fortune Level 1 Cheer Team finished third place and Youth Fame Level 1 and Senior Co-Ed Level 3 Cheer Teams brought home Superior Awards.

CFA competes again at the UCA International All Star Championship at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex on March 12 – 13, 2016.

About Central Florida Athletics
Founded in 2014 by Justine and Tom Mathews, Central Florida Athletics is Jacksonville’s “Premier” All Star Cheer Program. The state-of-the-art facility offers a full spring floor, one practice floor, runway trampoline, vault, uneven bars and an air conditioned viewing room with live action cameras. Many of the coaches are USASF certified and offer 57 years of combined coaching. In addition to competitive cheerleading, the gym also offers competitive gymnastics teams (level 0 – 10), tumbling and conditioning classes for all ages and skill levels, all-star prep teams, private sessions for teams or individuals for tumbling and stunting, summer camps, and an after school pick up.
