Although there is a large group of people who want to become a part of Jacksonville cheerleading team, not everyone is entitled to it and not anyone can be a member. There are certain qualities that are required from a cheerleader, but sadly, not anyone who wants to be one can fulfill these qualities.
For reference, if you want to be a really good cheerleader and to be able to fulfill the duties beautifully, here are the qualities you need to work on:
First and foremost, you need to be hardworking. Cheerleading takes a lot of work and sacrifice. It will even take a lot of your time, time that you can spend with your family and friends or even out vacationing and having a good time. Aside from that, you also have to have good grades (if you’re a student cheerleader). Jacksonville cheerleading squad requires that their cheerleading members all have good academic standings. Without it, they cannot be allowed to join extracurricular activities like being part of the team. It takes a lot of discipline and hardwork to combine the duties of being a student and a cheerleader.
Have you ever seen a melancholic cheerleader? That’s simply not possible because cheerleaders are supposed to rally their audience to cheer for their team. They are supposed to uplift everyone’s feelings when they are down and losing. Cheerleaders should be able to carry their troubles well, and they should remain strong despite personal challenges. They cannot let their problems get the better of them, especially during practices and competitions. One wrong move just because they are not focused can result to accidents.
Commitment and dedication
As a cheerleader, you should be loyal to your team. You should treat your teammates as your friends and remain faithful to what you are trying to achieve as a squad. Commitment takes a lot of sacrifice because practices take a lot of time, and you’ll have to give up a lot of things–going to the malls with friends, attending birthdays and anniversaries, being active in other sports.
You will not always be a winner in Jacksonville cheerleading. Other teams can beat you during competitions, and you may fail once or twice in your routines. But you should understand that it’s all part of the sports. Failing will only make you better and being able to handle it well speaks of your values and attitude.
